BROCCOLI SICILIANI

(Sicilian Broccoli)


                       (This is for 4 people)

Ingredients

4 Sicilian broccoli
1 red onion
1 lemon
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil or soybean oil
5.290 oz pitted black lives
½ cup vinegar
1 pinch of curry
salt to taste
Procedure
In a large pot, boiling water (about 105.820 oz) with half cup vinegar and 1 tablespoon salt.
Cut the tops of the broccoli and wash it very well.
When the water boils, pour in it the broccoli for half an hour of cooking.( Broccoli should be tender).
Drain and place it in a dish.
Cut black olives and red onion into rings. The lemon in slices.
Dress the broccoli with black olives, red onion, oil, curry powder and salt to taste.
Garnish it with lemon slices and serve it.
